This Week at Elan

Our current opening hours are 9am until 4pm - seven days a week, with last food orders taken at 3pm.

Please note that due to a large rock fall, the railway cutting know as Devil's Gulch along the top part of the Elan Valley Trail (between Craig Goch Dam and Pen y Garreg Dam) is closed to all users until further notice.

From Monday 18th February: Llannerch y Cawr car park in the Claerwen Valley will be closed for the storage of timber. We would also advise avoiding Gro woodland for the next 6 weeks while tree felling takes place.

EYES ON THE NIGHT SKY: APRIL 2019

Welcome to our April edition of Eyes on the Night Sky, where we will select some night-time highlights for this month. As the clocks have gone forward, darkness will not descend until at least 9.30pm at the beginning of the month and around 11.30pm at the end. True darkness, where the Sun is more than 18 degrees below the horizon, is ideal for viewing distant galaxies, star clusters and nebulae.
