Elan Valley Photography Competition 2018 Winners

We’re excited to announce the winners of our Elan Links Photography Competition.


We had four categories, open to young and adult photographers.


People: Telling the story of the Elan Valley through people. This could be walkers, bikers, tourists, farmers, etc. The winner of the People category is:

“Watching the water fall” by Simon Wallace.

Nature: This covered landscape, animals, birds, wildlife, plant life, etc. The winner of the Nature category is:

“Young Hare” by Tony Stevens.

Water: Water is at the heart of the Elan Valley, and could be the reservoirs, rivers, streams, waterfalls, etc. The winner of the Water category is:

“Mist over Penygarreg” by Steve Betts.

Night photography: Elan Valley is an internationally recognised dark sky park, offering stunning views of the night sky. The winner of the Night Category is:

“A bridge too far” by Sean Weekly.
