Elan Valley Photography Competition

3 years 1 month ago

The second Elan Valley Photography Competition is now open! This competition, held by the Elan Links scheme, is open to everyone and encourages people to take and share photos of their favourite places in the Elan Valley.

There are four categories, and people can enter up to two photos per category.

Categories / Themes

Rocks: the geology of the Elan Valley has shaped the landscape. Think large or small scale, this category can be open to interpretation.

Plants: There’s such a variety of plants across the valley, from the smallest lichen to the tallest tree.

Wildlife: This can be birds, insects, animals, a very wide ranging category.

Junior: Under 16s, any of the above three categories. To enter the junior competition, you must be aged 16 or under as of September 6th 2019.

Winning images will be shared on the Elan Valley website and social media channels, as well as displayed locally. A calendar will also be produced of the final photos in each category.

You’re welcome to submit photos taken on any type of camera, as long as it meets the entry criteria. Photos should be landscape orientation.

The closing date for entries is Midday Friday 6th September 2019.
