Oral histories are a vital part of this project as we need to capture the stories and memories of people who live, work and visit this unique place.  We want to make these stories as accessible as possible so would like to have a hard copy of what was said as well as the recording.

We need someone who can type (not fast but accurately) to type up Oral History recordings to create an accurate record of what was said during interviews.

Transcriptions can be done either at home if you have a computer or in the Elan Links office in Elan Valley whichever is more convenient for you.  There is no deadline for completion; this is an ongoing opportunity over the life of the project i.e. up to 2022 so it could take up as much or as little time as you can commit whenever you can do it.  Transcription software and a template are available and, if done at the office, there is also a laptop.

If you would like to find out more about these roles please contact Stephanie on 01597 811527 or via Stephanie.kruse@elanvalley.org.uk
