A Moorland Walk

Powys Ramblers member Chris will lead this 7.5 mile walk over moorland on rocky and boggy paths, which are well defined. Starting from Penbont car park, the route heads for the top of Pen y Garreg Dam before continuing upwards beside a steep sided valley out onto open ground, heading towards Crugyn. With glorious views over Pen y Garreg Reservoir, the dark sky shelter on Tynllidiart Hill and the local town of Rhayader in the east, the route forks right to Bwlch Croesnewydd and follows down to the minor road.
