Eluned Lewis, Scheme Manager

Eluned Lewis will manage the delivery of the Elan Links scheme.  Eluned has been part of the scheme since 2014, having worked for the Elan Valley Trust during the application and development phases.

Eluned, a Geography Graduate from Aberystwyth University is from Capel Bangor in Ceredigion. She has been successful in obtaining considerable amounts of grant funding for community regeneration projects with the Elan Links scheme her biggest success to date.


Matthew Allmark, Natural Heritage Officer

Matt Allmark became the Natural Heritage Officer for Elan Links in October 2017 and moved to live in Elan Village.  He will be responsible for managing projects related to enhancing nature and wildlife. 

Matt has worked for a number of conservation organisations including National Trust in the Lake District, Chester Zoo and most recently at Cheshire Wildlife Trust. He is looking forward to implementing a range of projects with the people who have helped create this amazing place.


Beth Rees, Project Officer

Beth Rees is the Project Officer for Elan Links.  Her role will be to co-ordinate the communication and community engagement aspects of the scheme.  She will also be responsible for the delivery of projects relating to events, interpretation and engagement.

After studying Physical Geography at Swansea University, Beth volunteered for National Trust and worked for two National Parks in Wales before moving to Scotland. For the last two years she has been a Field Tutor and Activity Instructor teaching geography to students on the Isle of Arran.


Anna Georgiou, Volunteering and Training Officer

Anna Georgiou is the Volunteering and Training Officer for Tir Coed, based within the Elan Links team.  Anna will be delivering the training projects within the scheme, as well as overseeing volunteers.

Anna is a former Countryside Ranger and current resident of the Elan Valley. She has a Masters in Conservation and Land Management from the University of Wales, Bangor.  She has worked in various conservation roles over the last 15 years including the Wildlife Trust and the Local Environmental Records Centre in Brecon.


Stephanie Kruse, Cultural Heritage Officer

Stephanie’s role is to work with the local community and others to discover, record and celebrate all the many and unique aspects of cultural heritage in the Elan Valley.

She has had a variety of roles including leading an interpretation project in Seaham, Co. Durham, coordinating the building of the gardens at the National Garden Festivals in Ebbw Vale and Gateshead, developing the Cotswold Way as a national trail and being the regional advisor for the Local Heritage Initiative in the South West and South East. 

She is looking forward to talking to everyone who knows this special place and recording the stories, traditions and features of Elan Valley so others can enjoy them too.


Rebecca Pursch, Finance Officer

Rebecca Pursch is the finance officer for the Elan Links scheme.

Rebecca has a background in administration, project work and accounts in private sector organisations, as well as volunteering in conservation organisations.  Originally from the Cotswolds, Rebecca now lives locally in the Elan Valley.


Gayle Atherfold-Dudley, Powys Mentor

Gayle is the newly appointed mentor covering Powys, working with the Elan Valley Links project for Tir Coed.  Her role is to help and support all attendees prior, during and after attending the Tir Coed Courses, to enable them to get the most out of their experience.  Before starting at Tir Coed, she predominately worked in third sector, with families undergoing change. Gayle has also worked for the NHS and Police, as well as working as a freelance photographer. 


Will Adams, Project Archivist

Will Adams is Project Archivist with responsibility for assessing, recording and making accessible heritage material relating to the Elan Valley. Will works part time on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Will is also the Curator of the Radnorshire Museum with over eighteen years’ experience working in museums and local heritage.


Bonna Williams, Volunteer Engagement Officer 

Bonna has been appointed as volunteer engagement officer. Her role is to support the Natural and Cultural Heritage officers with recruiting and coordinating volunteers to help with the various projects being undertaken by the Elan Links Partnership.

She moved to the area about 30 years ago after gaining her BSc. She has had a variety of occupations; most recently working as an admin assistant for the local council and as an organiser of cycling events.
