Where to stay

 There are three properties on the Elan Estate which are available FOR SELF CATERING ONLY, weekly bookings run from Saturday to Saturday.

Short breaks are available out of season only (minimum of 3 nights stay) during November, December, January and February (excluding Xmas and New Year).

Sorry we do not offer a Bed and Breakfast service.

Llannerch y Cawr Longhouse

This property overlooks Dol y Mynach Reservoir and is in the Claerwen Valley.

Penglaneinon Farmhouse

This property is set in a fantastic location with stunning views over woodland and Caban Coch Reservoir.

Tynllidiart Farmhouse

A secluded farmhouse which directly overlooks Garreg Ddu Reservoir.

Dogs are welcome at all of the properties providing they are kept under strict control.


All properties are looked after by the Elan Valley Trust; a charity whose objectives are to look after the Estate's wildlife, encourage environmental education and promote access to the countryside.

  • Fuel (logs and kindling)
  • Power (via generator)
  • Bed linen and towels
  • Payphone (coins not card)
  • Cot and High Chair
